It has been a full and fruitful month here in Peru! This month was one of the heaviest rainy seasons that we have experienced so far. In the desert, the rain has nowhere to permeate the ground and as a result we experience flooding and landslides. This month included changing some roofing in the pouring rain, but we are (mostly) dry now and thankful for it! Below I’ll share with you some of the ways God has been working in the ministry here in Peru:

Praying for a Permanent Home for the Church

Last month I mentioned the fact that there has been some changes in the ownership of the space we rent. I was able to meet with the owner and discuss the possibility to purchase the space we are now renting. As they are considering the proposition, they have offered to show me another large plot of land they own not too far from the church. This could provide us with much more space and a permanent home for the church. God has been blessing us with steadily growing attendance, and the children’s teachers are running out of space as the children’s ministry grows! Would you pray that God would provide the funds for a permanent home?

Soccer Camp

We also had the opportunity to host a group from the US who came to put on several evangelistic events in the community. We started with a two-day soccer camp where we had 75 kids each day and were able to give them excellent training from professional soccer players as well as devotionals and testimonies of how God wants to save and transform each and every one of them. We were able to meet and speak with parents as they waited. We had several come to church following the event, which was an answer to prayers!

Food Drive

With this group we also partnered together with the McCormack family who works about 20 minutes from us to put on an evangelistic food drive in their church. We distributed hundreds of bags of groceries, and more importantly each person had the opportunity to hear a gospel message and get connected to the church. Please pray that as those groceries are used up that people would return for more of the spiritual food they desperately need.

Back to School

As we head into March school starts up and we are excited to send these students back to school! Would you pray with us that they would be a light in a dark place, and that their testimonies could be used to bring other young people to Christ this year?

As we press forward in hope and expectation we are reminded of all of the ways God has provided up to this point, including bringing us in contact with YOU! Thank you for your faithfulness and prayers for our family.

Redeemer Baptist Church

There are about 80,000 people in this area and we are excited to be able to serve them with the gospel of Christ!

The church is growing rapidly and Lord willing will soon outgrow our current meeting space!

Our desire is to purchase a piece of property in the area to be able to provide a long-term home for the church and provide the stability needed for long-term growth.

We have now seen $4,500.67 given toward this project!

Would you pray for us as we seek to raise $200,000 to purchase a property and building to provide a lasting lighthouse of hope in this urban community?

SUPPORT ADDRESS UPDATE:

Vision Baptist Missions, Inc. and the Our Generation Training Center have been praying for God to provide space for the ministry to expand. In February 2022, through the giving of many generous individuals and churches, God provided an excellent property in Dawsonville, Georgia with several buildings. We are very excited about the property the Lord has given us and the opportunities to expand into the future. We are so thankful for how the Lord has blessed our mission. One thing that also comes with this blessing is a new mailing and support address. Please begin sending all mail and support to the following:
